Lord Monotask started out as a joke; born out of a comparison to a popular women’s group called Lady Multitask (a highly successful and influential women entrepreneurs group founded in San Luis Potosi). The founder, his wife and some friends were comically observing the irony of placing men under the multitasker umbrella; as the group talked, a proposal was put forth to JRock by his wife (a member of Lady Multitask herself) that JRock should create Lord Multitask. The men present laughed and quickly replied, “it should be called Lord Monotask!”. While it was obviously a simple witty comeback; it was not entirely without some truth. Women are generally much more able to multitask, were men, well, aren’t always multitaskers – not because they can’t but they rather choose not to.
